Terms of Service for Tangle Music ​

By downloading, installing, or using the Tangle Music desktop application ("the Application"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Application.

2. Description of Service ​

Tangle Music is a desktop music player that allows users to organize, play, and manage music from various third-party sources, local files, and external databases. The Application is provided "as is" and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

The Application integrates with various third-party platforms to provide content and features. Your use of these features is subject to the terms and conditions of the respective platforms:

The Application provides tools for interoperability with other services and data sources, specifically:

  • Local Data (e.g., Rekordbox): The Application may read local database files created by third-party software (such as Pioneer DJ's Rekordbox) residing on your computer. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and use this data.
  • Public Data (e.g., Bandcamp): The Application may access publicly available data from platforms like Bandcamp.

Non-Affiliation Disclaimer: Tangle Music is an independent software application. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with Pioneer DJ (AlphaTheta Corporation), Bandcamp, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. All product names, logos, and brands are property of their respective owners. The names "Rekordbox" and "Bandcamp" are used in this Application and these Terms solely for identification and interoperability purposes.

5. User Responsibilities ​

You agree to use the Application only for purposes that are permitted by these Terms and any applicable law. You agree not to:

  • Use the Application to violate the terms of service of any integrated third-party platform.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer the Application or the third-party services it interacts with.
  • Use the Application for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

The Application, including its original code, design, and interface, is the intellectual property of Tangle Music. All music content, videos, artwork, and metadata accessed through the Application remain the property of their respective copyright holders.

7. Termination ​

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Application immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties ​

The Application is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Tangle Music makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the Application or the information, content, or materials included therein. You expressly agree that your use of the Application is at your sole risk.

9. Limitation of Liability ​

In no event shall Tangle Music be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Application.

10. Governing Law ​

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to Terms ​

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Application after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
